Residentials
For the last three years, we have held an annual summer residential: ‘Camp Camp’. Unfortunately, during 2020 this has needed to be postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions and we are exploring options to hold possible residentials later in the year.
At our residentials, as well as the usual campfires and team-building games, we offer a particular focus on health and well-being and creative expression. Young people have the opportunity to deepen their connection to a sense of community, learn new skills, and make lasting friendships. Young people have come away from previous events refreshed, inspired, encouraged, and supported by a new network of friends and allies. Youth engagement is central to the planning leading up to the residential and during the camp itself with young people taking a leadership role in the planning process and others running workshops throughout the event.
Our residentials are open to any young person who is LGBTQ+ and aged 25 and under based in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough or surrounding areas. Get in touch with us at YouthWork@TheKiteTrust.org.uk if you’d like to hear when we open applications for our next residential.
