We are always looking for passionate volunteers to join our groups. You are welcome to fill in the enquiry form below and we’ll be in touch to discuss further at that time!

If you live or work in Fenland – we’d love to hear from you! We’re currently running a pilot project to identify how volunteering can be part of tackling loneliness amongst the LGBTQ+ communities of Fenland. If you’d like to give volunteering a go as a one-off or on an ongoing basis please complete the form below.

Skills & Experience

All volunteers undergo an enhanced DBS check and are asked to provide two references. You will receive training relevant to your role including safeguarding training.

You will get a chance to gain:

  • Experience with working with young people  
  • Understanding of issues effecting LGBTQ+ young people 
  • Understanding of safeguarding and best practice when working with young people

This is to confirm your current age. Individuals aged 16+ may volunteer with The Kite Trust in some capacity, however the role you can take on and the groups you may work with will depend on your age.
Please supply two references with their name, email address and/or phone number, and explain how they know you. Suitable referees can include your employer, tutor, doctor, former teachers, youth leaders etc. Members of your own family cannot give references and referees must have known you for at least two years.
